According to a report by the Washington Examiner, officials from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) have uncovered over 5,000 documents that contain the aliases employed by Joe Biden during his tenure as Vice President under Barack Obama.
In response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request submitted by the conservative Southeastern Legal Foundation, the National Archives has disclosed that a search of the records belonging to then-Vice President Joe Biden yielded around 5,138 emails, 200 pages of relevant documents, and an additional 25 electronic files containing aliases utilized by Biden.
Last year, the Southeastern Legal Foundation initiated the FOIA request with the aim of uncovering information regarding three email addresses that Joe Biden was known to employ during his tenure as vice president. These aliases included Robert.L.Peters@pci.gov, robinware456@gmail.com, and JRBWare@gmail.com.
Biden employed these email addresses for official purposes and for correspondence with his son, Hunter.
In the preceding month, James Comer, the Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, addressed a letter to Colleen Shogan, the Archivist of the United States, seeking all records and emails featuring Biden’s assumed names, along with any communications involving then-Vice President Biden, Hunter, associates of Hunter, Ukraine, and Burisma Holdings.
Emails discovered on Hunter’s neglected laptop reveal that the staff of then-Vice President Biden included Hunter in the recipient list of emails pertaining to his father’s agenda on occasions when the vice president was engaged in meetings or discussions related to Ukraine. It’s worth noting that Hunter was a member of the board of directors of Burisma during these instances.
Specifically, on May 26, 2016, John Flynn, the personal assistant of then-Vice President Biden, copied Hunter and his Rosemont Seneca firm on an email communication that mentioned Biden’s upcoming conversation with former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
In an additional email from June 2016, which contained details about the White House visit of then-Ukrainian Prime Minister Groysman, Hunter was likewise included as a recipient.
Chairman Comer has stated that the Oversight Committee is actively pursuing further links between the former vice president and Hunter’s international business ventures.
