Trump Vows Special Prosecutor If He Wins 2024

If Donald Trump is able to avoid legal trouble and win reelection as president in 2024, he has promised to appoint a special prosecutor.

If elected again, the previous president has pledged to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate President Joe Biden and his family’s involvement in the Burisma oil business bribery case in Ukraine during the Obama administration.

Despite the promise made throughout the campaign, Trump must first clear his own legal barriers before he can be sworn in as president. Classified materials were discovered at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home, leading to an investigation, indictment, arrest, and prosecution in Miami, Florida. The Manhattan District Attorney is also investigating Trump for possible fraud in the filing of corporate paperwork.

The January 6 committee may also indict the former president for his alleged participation in inciting the throng that stormed the Capitol on January 6, 2021, in an effort to prevent the certification of the results of the 2020 presidential election.

On the morning of June 13, Trump said on Truth Social that he was en route to the Miami courthouse and that the day of his trial was one of the “saddest” in American history. As with the Biden records, Trump tweeted that “deranged” special counsel Jack Smith should investigate what President Biden had “stored” in “Chinatown.” Trump said he sent the files to Boston after Biden was arrested. Trump was referring to the House Oversight Committee’s probe of the President’s handling of secret documents during the Obama administration.

Donald Trump attacked Jack Smith, calling Smith a “radical… lunatic” and a “Trump hater.” Smith allegedly said that the former president was innocent until proven guilty, Despite the onslaught from the former president.
