Angelina Jolie has stated that if she were to begin her career in show business today, she would not be an actress.
In an interview that was published in the Wall Street Journal Magazine not long ago, the celebrity revealed that, among other things.
In an article headed “Angelina Jolie Is Rebuilding Her Life,” she discussed her future intentions and the process of “healing” following her breakup from Brad Pitt.
She also touched on her feelings about the town that helped make her a star.
“I grew up in quite a shallow place,” Jolie said of Hollywood. “Of all the places in the world, Hollywood is not a healthy place. So you seek authenticity.”
“Growing up around Hollywood, I was never really impressed with it,” Jolie, who is the daughter of actor Jon Voight, told the journal. I never considered it to be essential or noteworthy.
Jolie likely wouldn’t enter the industry now if given the chance.

She admitted, “I wouldn’t be an actress today,” adding that she might have pursued theater instead of Hollywood. “There was less of an expectation that I would be as open and forthcoming with information when I was first starting out.”
Her seven-year-old divorce from Pitt, with whom she shares six children, is partially to blame for the attention she has received.
Jolie has spent most of that time at home with her kids and has reduced her job schedule.
She spoke of her family and how they had to heal. “There were wounds that required healing.”
She is aware of the significance of her life’s interest. She and Pitt were once the industry’s golden couple.
“Since I was young, people liked the part of me that’s pretty tough and maybe a bit wild—that’s the part that I think people enjoy,” Jolie said. “I’m not the one [who] you want to hear about my pain or my sadness. You know, that’s not entertaining.”
The humanitarian, who is equally at home in a refugee camp as she is in a Hollywood studio, has stated her intention to leave Los Angeles for Cambodia in the future.
“It’s part of what happened after my divorce,” Jolie said. “I lost the ability to live and travel as freely. I will move when I can.”
