Biden Spokesman Sides with China on Issue of Taiwan Independence

You might assume that John Kirby, who formerly served as the Pentagon’s spokesperson, would support the free world against one of the most notorious and brutal communist regimes, one that has killed tens of millions of people since winning the civil war in 1948 and still operates concentration camps where it tortures dissidents and engages in genocide.

At the news conference on August 1st, Kirby spoke on the matter, saying, “The Speaker has the right to visit Taiwan and a Speaker of the House has visited Taiwan before without incident, as have many members of Congress including this year. Nothing has changed about our ‘one China policy,’ which is, of course, guided by the Taiwan Relations Act, the three joint US-PRC communiques and the six assurances.”

“We have said that we do not support Taiwan independence and we have said that we expect cross-strait differences to be resolved by peaceful means. “Put simply, there is no reason for Beijing to turn a potential visit consistent with long-standing US policy into some sort of crisis or conflict or use it as a pretext to increase aggressive military activity in or around the Taiwan Strait.”

Unfortunately, Milley is not the only official in the Biden White House who has an appalling lack of respect for China.

General Mark Milley may be even worse because he was the one who, behind Trump’s back, promised to warn that adversary country if Trump were to launch an assault, stating, “General Li, I want to assure you that the American government is stable and everything is going to be okay. We are not going to attack or conduct any kinetic operations against you.”

Strangely, the Biden Administration still employs the revealed traitor who chose Red China over the Commander-in-Chief.

Fortunately for America, many Republicans and a few Democrats, including Nancy Pelosi, are adopting a stronger stance with China and refusing to behave in a manner similar to Kirby and Milley’s weak and craven behavior.

After years of the US and other free nations wooing Red China and neglecting the Republic of China, Nancy Pelosi’s visit would be a big step forward for the nation in bringing it back into integration with the world and out of Beijing’s shadow.
