On camera, House Speaker was heard declaring she would go to jail gladly to hit then-President Donald Trump. Filmmaker Pelosi’s daughter works on documentaries.
On January 6, she was shooting when she was with the Speaker. It’s unclear why the video was just made public. Trump declared during a rally at the Capitol Ellipse that he will march with his supporters to the Capitol. Pelosi and her crew were in attendance.

Pelosi was not happy, but an assistant immediately reassured her that she need not worry since the Secret Service would attempt to prevent Trump from making the brief trip because they did not think they could adequately protect him if he arrived.
Nancy Pelosi, a Democrat from California, then threatened to strike Trump in the nose if he followed through on his word and disregarded the Secret Service.
“Tell him if he comes here, we’re going to the White House”, she remarked at first, but her tone immediately grew bitter.
“I hope he comes. If he comes, I’m going to punch him out. I’ve been waiting for this, for trespassing on Capitol grounds. I’m going to punch him out, and I’m going to go to jail, and I’m going to be happy.”
On January 6, footage taken for HBO and initially obtained by CNN by Pelosi’s daughter, documentary filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi, captured this scene as well as many others.
It was broadcast a few hours after other snippets from the video were shown during Thursday’s ninth meeting of the House select committee looking into the assault.
