According to accounts, a guy in his 50s apparently jumped to his death from a Disneyland parking garage in California on Saturday night.

Around 9 o’clock local time, the event was reported to the police. According to witnesses, this caused the tram service to be suspended, forcing park visitors to walk back to their cars as police arrived on the scene.

According to authorities, the Orange County Coroner’s Office also arrived at the scene.

According to Anaheim police Public Information Officer Shane Carringer, the coroner’s office has gathered the remains and will notify the next of kin.

On the same day that the event occurred, CEO Bob Iger visited the theme park. Josh D’Amaro, the chairman of Disney Parks, was spotted with Iger. Videos posted on Twitter show Disney guests applauding the CEO and even having one-on-one conversations with him.

Less than a year after his retirement, Iger replaced former CEO Bob Chapek as CEO just last month.

Susan Arnold, the board chair, issued a statement, “The Board has concluded that as Disney embarks on an increasingly complex period of industry transformation, Bob Iger is uniquely situated to lead the Company through this pivotal period.”

Iger previously led Disney as CEO from 2005 until 2020 before taking over as executive chairman of the corporation through 2021.
